Breath of the Wild’s Lizalfos enemies are known to send themselves into infinite loops, but this situation is different. It is a product of two things: destructible environment and the Blood Moon.

Breath of the Wild’s Blood Moon is a gameplay mechanic that occurs every now and then that allows all of the slain enemies around the entire map to rise once again, an after effect of the Calamity. This respawns enemies in their exact prior locations. So, Reddit user MediocreSherlock is going around the Eldin Region collecting Red Lizalfos Tails to upgrade his armor and the Blood Moon rises shortly after he destroys the structure on which the Lizalfos are standing. The structure will not respawn until Link is far enough away from it that players cannot see it blink back into existence. So, the Blood Moon brings the Lizalfos back, but the structure is not there for them to land on, so, for some reason, the game continues to try and reload them in on a continuous loop.
The Legend of Zelda has a large map with a variety of different zones and regions - and one of them is the Eldin Region that houses Goron City and Death Mountain. The video takes place in this region and Link is fully decked out in his flame retardant gear in order to survive the harsh weather in the area.
Sometimes, glitches in Breath of the Wild allow players to do otherwise impossible things, and sometimes they show players inaccessible areas early on. Other times, though, players can cause a glitch by (either intentionally or accidentally) manipulating the game’s systems to interact with each other in different and awkward ways. It makes for some entertaining clips and gameplay recordings, which is always a welcome thing.
As fans gear up for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, they continue to play Breath of the Wild and discover more quirks and secrets in its world, allowing for even more enjoyment and engagement to come from the now five years old game.
