Speculation started running rampant as soon as Lesnar was shown to the live crowd at the Staples Center and on television. When asked at the post-fight press conference about Lesnar being at the show, White was vague as he always is when the Lesnar topic comes up.

“Apparently Brock Lesnar is a UFC fan, and he was in town and wanted to come see the fight tonight,” White said. “He’s under contract with the WWE, and when his contract is up, I’m sure he’ll call me.”

Sporting News reported on Thursday that Lesnar had a meeting with WWE chairman Vince McMahon before WWE Monday Night Raw to discuss resigning with the company since his contract expires on Mar. 30, the day after Wrestlemania 31. Lesnar defends the WWE championship against Roman Reigns on that show. Lesnar and McMahon had a disagreement with Lesnar leaving the show before he was scheduled to make an appearance.

In an interview with Fox Sports 1 after UFC 184, White said Lesnar brought up Frank Mir, who told Sporting News recently that he would like to have a trilogy fight with Lesnar.

White said that Lesnar asked him, ‘Did Frank Mir really say he wants to fight me?’

Is it all a ploy by Lesnar to get McMahon’s attention or is he is serious about a return to the octagon? We will soon find out.
